What You Need to Know
What do I need to bring to an Armorer Course?
All weapons, tooling and equipment are provided. Students will also receive an Armorer manual and training certificate upon completion of the course.
What time do Armorer Courses start and finish?
A coordination email will be sent out to students ahead of each course, but generally training will be begin at 8:30 AM and run until completion. That time can vary but will be no later than 5 PM.
Where should I plan to fly in for training at HK headquarters?
Hartsfield-Jackson Atlanta International Airport provides the most options. From there, a rental car drive takes about 90 minutes. The Columbus Airport is closer but has fewer flights.
Where should I plan to stay for lodging for training at HK headquarters?
A list of recommendations for lodging, including HK discount codes will be provided to students via email upon registration.
Does my HK Armorer Certification cover all HK weapons?
HK Armorer Certification is provided for individual weapons. For instance, a student who attends the HK USP Armorer Course will receive certification for only the HK USP series pistols.
How long is my HK Armorer Certification valid for?
HK Armorer Certification covers a three-year period. Upon expiration, we recommend you attend again to regain competency, as well as to receive updates on the specific weapon platform.
How do I visit HK’s Gray Room?
Access to HK’s Gray Room is part of each HK Armorer Course taught at HK headquarters. A guided tour is provided at the end of the day of training.
What is required to host a HK Armorer Course?
A host will need to provide a dedicated classroom with excellent lighting and solid tables to work from. Class sizes range from a minimum of six to a maximum of twelve students. Is live fire training part of the HK Armorer Courses?
No. If you are interested in live fire training, please refer to HK Operator Courses.
What do I need to bring to a HK Operator Course?
All weapons, equipment and ammunition are provided at HK Operator Courses. Students just need to bring their eye and ear protection and wear comfortable, seasonal-appropriate clothing. Food and drinks to sustain you throughout the day of training is also recommended.
What is required to host a HK Operator Course?
A host will need to provide a dedicated live fire range with access to overhead cover and both paper target stands and moveable steel targets. Class sizes range from a minimum of 10 to a maximum of 20 students.
